A decade of freelancing in the New York City photo industry prepared Scott for his current role as Director of Visual Media for Assembly Brands in Brooklyn where he leads a team that provides photography, video production, and retouching services for all in-house brands and external partners including W&P, Wild One, Courant, Dovetail, Target, Sur La Tab, and Lucasfilm.

He formerly served as the Photo Editor for Edible Manhattan and Edible Brooklyn magazines where his role included contracting freelance photographers for editorial assignments, building shot lists, giving creative direction, making final selects for print, and working closely with the layout designer on the final design of each issue.
Scott’s editorial photography focuses on local artisans, small batch startups, and urban food culture, and his environmental portraiture and conceptual still life work has been recognized by the PDN Taste Food Photography Awards, the PDN Objects of Desire Still Life Photography Awards, and the Edible Communities Eddy Awards, and his food films have been screened at the New York City Food Film Festival.
He resides in Bushwick, Brooklyn with his wife, daughter, and a house full of rescue and foster cats, and is the co-founder of cat advocacy brand Stray Cat Social Club.
